Vizol S Hydro Lipid Balance 0.15% HA, 0.25% Castor Oil (10 ml)
Vizol S Hydro Lipid Balance 0.15% HA, 0.25% Castor Oil, Eye Drops (10 ml)
A preparation for relieving the symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye that develops due to a lack of the lipid layer of the tear film and leads to excessive evaporation of the aqueous layer.
- Replenishes the lipid and aqueous layers of the tear film
- Nano droplets for lasting tear film stability
- Can be used for 6 months after opening
- Preservative-free
- With an antibacterial dispensing tip
- 10 ml of solution in a bottle fitted with a dropper, containing 350 drops.
Composition: 0.15% sodium hyaluronate (NaHa), 0.25% castor oil, tocofersolan, glycerol, polysorbate 80, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, trometamol, hydrochloric acid, disodium edetate, sodium chloride, purified water.
The Vizol S Hydro Lipid Balance emulsion contains LCT complex nano droplets (composed of castor oil, vitamin E and surfactants) to restore and protect the lipid layer of the tears, which forms a natural barrier against the evaporation of moisture.
The sodium hyaluronate in the eye drops effectively hydrates the eye and immediately relieves the symptoms of dry eye.
Can also be used with contact lenses!
Active ingredient: castor oil
A lipid-forming substance of natural origin
It consists of 90% ricinoleic acid (omega-9), which makes it special among oil-based agents, as it is polar. The polar nature of the ricinoleic acid molecule can be advantageous in cases of lipid deficiency, since polar lipids are critical components of tear film lipids and play an important role in the spreading and stabilisation of the tear film.
Castor oil exerts beneficial effects on the lipid layer of the tear film, including increased thickness and altered composition, along with a longer residence time.
The anti-inflammatory effect of castor oil may act directly on the chronic, low-grade inflammation associated with ocular surface disease.
Castor oil supports eyelid health and better Meibomian gland function.
Castor oil contains both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups, so it can interact well with both the aqueous and the mucin layers.
Active ingredient: hyaluronic acid
A moisturising and viscosity-increasing substance of natural origin
Sodium hyaluronate is found in the natural tear film, the outer cornea and the vitreous body.
Hyaluronic acid is a pseudoplastic substance. On the surface of the eye, the viscosity (adhesion) of the tear film containing hyaluronic acid (HA) decreases during blinking, which allows the tear film to be distributed evenly. At the same time, in a resting state the viscosity takes on a higher value, which prolongs the residence time on the ocular surface.
A low concentration of sodium hyaluronate (0.15%) temporarily increases the thickness of the tear film lipid layer in lipid-deficient dry eye patients (figure).
Hyaluronic acid promotes the healing of corneal epithelial wounds while simultaneously reducing inflammation.
